Adipex (phentermine) is a special prescription drug that you can take if you are suffering from obesity and are unable to lose weight. You must combine Adipex with a healthier diet to get best effects, as otherwise the treatment will not be as efficient. Adipex is often used in people with a number of risk factors, such as diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Never take Adipex before talking to your health care provider if you have any particular medical conditions to be reported. The following ones are especially important to mention: diabetes, anxiety disorder, glaucoma, seizure disorder, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, arteriosclerosis, and heart disease. If you think the medicine is not working properly for you and is causing side effects you would rather avoid – you can stop the treatment and talk to your health care provider about an alternative method. Adipex is not intended for patients younger than 16 and is not supposed to be taken by them, as the effects in that particular age group have not been studied very well. If you think you have taken too much of Adipex – seek emergency help, especially if any of the following symptoms are experienced: hallucinations, confusion, diarrhea, irregular heartbeat, seizure, confusion, vomiting, fainting, nausea, and stomach pain.
